Assalam Alikum 🎉!

I hope everyone reading this ,in any point of time ( I know no one reads them right now 😉 ) is healthy and Focused on winning in life.

As you know my exams finished last week, and I had time to study for My personal Curriculum. I had 20 days from which I have 14 left including tomorrow and the progress is going well Alhamdulillah.

As I promised, I started the Penetration Tester job role path in HackTheBox, and i do have to say that it’s a very tough and challenging . It’s the most hands on ( Where I’ve actually learnt by doing ) experience I’ve had. TryHackMe, although I finished the Cybersec 101 , Intro to Cybesercurity and Jr. Pentseter courses, doesn’t even come close to the challenges in HackTheBox, I feel like I’ve studied so much in a week that I haven’t before, but I know that’s just my adrenaline speaking, I’ve learnt alot previously too , but this path seems to be the real learning path.

I know how to escalate privileges, get root and the ways we can approach different machines, I know how to use metaspliot and have hands On Experience on it, I just finished the NMAP Enumeration Module in the course.

The NMAP one was the most difficulty I’ve experienced to date. The Last lab was the most difficult lab where we had to find the

ports and find a port that is open only in a specific –source-port scan, and then use netcat. I won’t give off enough information but this is the most hint I can give.

Overall I finished 3 modules in these 4 days, and I’m actually going to try finishing with the same consistency till 10 , when my University starts, then too, the whole criteria is to study university stuff in the weekends and study HTB and do machines online in the whole week , before classes, in the morn, at midday and night time after coming back home.

What I learnt was that one has to be persistent,

For a year isn’t long enough to build a legacy but a day seems longer. ~ Me

I believe this is the best path I could’ve taken although its’ the most challenging of it all, but it teaches us how the daily life of a PenTester and Bug Bounty Hunter is, persistence is your best friend, My notes are getting bigger and more complex, but I am keeping track of it all .

I hope next week we meet again.. FiAmanAllah.
